At this time of uncertainty caused by a pandemic, we at OneLoveOneWorld think that it is extremely important for children and families to have access to good and reliable information. We hope that this book will reach many children in Nepal so that they can better understand what is going on around them and in their life’s. We want to support children in coping better with the crisis situation.
We thank Nosy Crow, the publisher of the original book in English, for granting OneLoveOneWorld the rights to publish the book in Nepali.
We would like to warmly thank Aloka Tumbahangphey for the translation and Kam Singh Chepang and Nino Christen for the graphic work.
Professor Graham Medley, Professor of Infectious Disease Modeling at the London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said: “This book puts children IN the picture rather just watching it happen, and in a way that makes the scary parts easier to cope with.”
The book answers important questions in simple language that are suitable for 5 to 9 year olds:
- What is the corona virus?
- How do you get the corona virus?
- What happens if you get the corona virus?
- Why are people worried about getting the corona virus?
- Is there a cure for the corona virus?
- Why are some places that we normally go to closed?
- What can I do to help?
- What will happen next?
We want to make sure that this book is accessible to every child and family. Therefore, the book is offered to everyone who wants to read it completely free of charge.
You can download a PDF copy of the book in English here and in Nepali here.
