OneLoveOneWorld supports children living in poverty in Nepal with a school scholarship up to grade 10 and, if applicable, secondary school. In addition, grants are awarded for visiting a university.

The whole family is strengthened with a scholarship. The children are receiving an education, both mothers and fathers are able to go to work, and families in need are part of the support program, in case medical treatment or other assistance is required.

All families that are part of our programs are regularly visited to achieve the greatest possible improvement in the living situation of all family members. As soon as our support is no longer required because the situation has improved sustainably, we cease it. Since the demand to receive a scholarship is high and it is important to use the resources for the most needy children, OLOW ensures at all times that the children are in need of the scholarship.

Selection of children for a scholarship

Our team is usually made aware of children in need by teachers, social workers, residents in poor residential areas and through other organisations. Each of the children who get selected as recipient of a scholarship face one or more of various factors such as extreme poverty, unworthy living conditions, death of a family member, illness of a parent, child labor, discrimination and exclusion.

Are you interested in a scholarship program sponsorship?

One child goes to school in Nepal with $ 20 a month. As a supporter you will receive a picture and a certificate of your scholarship child once a year, after the end of the Nepalese school year in May.

With the school scholarship we cover the costs for school fees, the school uniform (compulsory), the exam costs, school materials, a warm meal, clothing and family help taken at school as required.

Write us an email to mail@onelove-oneworld.org and we will send you a report about a child on request, or directly set up a standing order with the purpose “school project sponsor” and enter your email address. We will then send you a report about a child.

We contribute to a world in which every child’s basic needs are fulfilled. Where children have free access to education, have access to medical care, have the opportunity to develop their personality and identity, develop long-term future-oriented perspectives, are protected from violence, crime, exploitation and neglect.
