We are glad to welcome Laurent at our office in Nepal.
Laurent from switzerland works for three weeks at OneLoveOneWorld Nepal to give our youngsters an insight in his profession as carpenter.
“I am very pleased, that I belong to the OneLoveOneWorld-Team for the next three weeks.
Some facts about me:
Besides my apprenticeship as a wood engineer, I like to travel to get to know new cultures. Since I grew up in Switzerland, I felt always connected to the mountains. I climb a lot and enjoy afterwards the deserved view over the other mountains.
Thus, the memories will not be lost to such events, I usually have my camera having in tow.
After I completed my apprenticeship as a carpenter in 2011, I went for 3 months to South Africa where I worked for a NGO . Subsequently, the study has begun to wood engineering, which I’ll finish in about two years.
As seen above, I find the material wood fascinating and basis for many innovative ideas. I want to pass on some of my knowledge to the Nepalese culture.
Already in the first days of my stay in Kathmandu, I noticed the warmth and openness of the Nepalese people. I look forward to other memorable weeks here in Nepal….”
