This project is targeted at various disadvantaged groups, such as orphans, street children, physically or mentally impaired children, and/or those who have suffered from traumatic experiences.
Regardless of caste, social status, gender, or physical ability, the Music Camp promotes social interaction through music, dance, sports and handicrafts.
The emerging group dynamics can resolve the divisions of caste rules, stigmas and discrimination.
The Music Camp facilitators are able to creatively guide and build teamwork using the interests and experiences of the participants. The results will be a combination of:
- learning and teaching
- an experience of individual empowerment and sense of community
- security and safety
- encouraging the development of experience and various interpersonal skills.
The Music Camp is held twice a year. However, the number of children able to attend the camp is dependent upon sponsor donations.
